Dale Demary’s first exposure to European heaters came while he & his wife Nancy were living in Romania during the adoption of their 4 Romanian born children. Dale has a life long connection in the construction and design field working with tile, stone and other vitrified or masonry construction materials for over 30 years. He has owned and operated businesses in Wisconsin and New York and has worked with Architects and General Contractors throughout the U.S. on numerous noteworthy and acclaimed projects. He is also a licensed real estate inspector.
From the very fist time Dale & Nancy experienced the unique quality of heat radiating from these beautiful heaters, they were impressed and began to study their history, design and centuries old usefulness in almost every European Country including many Eurasian nations.
Interestingly, the Demary children’s biological family has a history of expertise (more or less) in the building of the Russian variety of heaters. Their Bunica (grandma) has built several stoves in the village of Mitoc-Dragomirnea in Northeast Romania where the children were born. Dale is a native of New York State while Nancy hails from Wisconsin (we call her our cheese-head). Nancy is a dynamic business administrator and home-school Mama who keeps the ship headed in the right direction. We thank the Lord for the ability and desire to design and construct heaters, to teach our children a work ethic and to occupy in faithful industry as unto the Lord.
We feel it is important and timely for Americans to be as responsible as possible with the resources God has blessed us with. Promoting and building efficient wood heating stoves like those highlighted on this web site are a part of that conviction.
